Finding Journal Articles: Selected online databases (read these directions for off-campus access):

• Medline encompasses information from Index Medicus, Index to Dental Literature, and International Nursing, as well as other sources of coverage in the areas of allied health, biological and physical sciences, humanities and information science as they relate to medicine and health care, communication disorders, population biology, and reproductive biology. More than 10.8 million records from more than 3,900 journals are indexed.
• CINAHL: Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Indexes 1200 journals for nursing and other health professions back to 1982.
• Academic Search Premier - covers full text for nearly 1,490 academic, social sciences, humanities, general science, education and multi-cultural journals. It also offers indexing and abstracts for over 2,670 journals. The database tells if the title is held by CSU library. You can click on the title and get the complete citation & abstract and library holding information. You can limit search by SCSU collection and peer reviewed. Don't put in journal title: not all journals have been linked by Southern to the database yet.
• Digital Dissertations Doctoral dissertations and master's theses in all fields, including many available in full-text.
• Dissertation Abstracts Online  Index/abstracts of dissertations in all fields.
• Health & Wellness Reference Center Medical information for health professionals and general readers.
• MDXHealth  Consumer Health Information from over 200 periodicals from 1988 to present
